I took Boomer to the vet the other day and he said that Boomer looks like he might make it. Oh yes, I forgot to mention that Boomer tested positive for Distemper. He's still on antibiotics and now he's on a medicine for allergies (he had a rash). He's eating really well and seems to be gaining weight; plus, his coat is a lot less flaky and is even starting to get shiny. So, I think (and hope) that he's going to make it. Poor thing is a little bored because he's just in the house the whole time. I can't take him out and expose him to other dogs (or them to him--they might get it).
I took the kids out on their bikes today. They really don't last very long, especially Eliana. She has a hard time pedaling. I suppose it's too much work, and it's easier when I just push her :-). Lucas does really well, he just gets bored if I take him to a spot where he has to ride in a circle. Although, circle riding is a lot easier for me, especially with two of them!
Jon took this picture one night before our devotions. Ellie was showing off her flexibility :-)! I know I can't do this anymore!!
This Sunday I start teaching a children's Sunday School class. I'm excited to have this opportunity! I'll also have two young ladies that will be helping me, and that I'll be mentoring to start teaching. More fun!!! I already know one of the girls and she's a sweetie. They'll be a joy to work with!
I've been getting a little more comfortable driving the car (with all my trips to the vet--I've had a lot of practice!):-). I even drove to Chia once. I'll have to admit, my stomach was in knots most of the way there. Every time we turned onto a new road and I saw all the traffic, I would start to get nervous again. Fortunately our policy for car insurance came through so we're covered :-). At least we haven't had any wrecks yet. Unlike my parents who had 16 (or so) in their first term (four years--so, we still have time :-)).
