Boyd Bear Tracks

This blog has been created so you can track us Boyd bears down and peek in at what we're doing. Just don't touch the porridge!

There is just too much to write about from this summer so I'll just give a brief overview with pictures (that's what all the relatives wanted anyway :-)!)

September 1st was our first day of school. It has gone pretty well. It's been a little difficult with a baby (grin!). Plus, we took the kids in for eye checkups and found out that Ellie needs glasses, and Lucas needs eye therapy! So, that could have been contributing to the difficulties in school!

We were at Bass Lake Camp for Senior High camp. The two older kids went camping with the Boyd grandpparents. Marcos got special Mommy attention and actually started to develop a schedule (which was promptly discarded after camp--sigh!).

I think in other avenues we've shared that we did an East Coast tour--Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, New York, Washington D.C. I thought I would share some pictures.

And of course, we couldn't miss the State Fair! The Mains grandparents joined us for a fun, but rainy day of "farm stuff". We loved the newborn animal barn. There were even some pigs born while we were there (there were too many people over there to be able to see anything). Ellie loved the baby ducks and Lucas ended up outside with grandpa doing a sand sculpture (I guess he wasn't as interested in the animals).

Finally, Marcos has his first tooth. It took about 9 months! And, it's a top one! I thought they came in on the bottom first.

This was one of the few days we went to the wading pool. We just weren't home that often; plus, the weather has been pretty cool.

Jon just celebrated his birthday, so we had to get a birthday picture of him with his "twin" :-)!

I hope you enjoyed the very short view of our summer. I counted up that in 62 days we were home 14 (that's not including the half days we were home before we took off to wherever we were going). Hopefully, now that we're settled in for a while, I will start sharing more frequently what we're doing. After all, how can you follow the "bear tracks" unless there are some to follow, right?
