Boyd Bear Tracks

This blog has been created so you can track us Boyd bears down and peek in at what we're doing. Just don't touch the porridge!

It's so nice to have Heidi (my sister :)) here. Especially because she babysits :-)!! She may not want to come again, with all the times I've been asking her to watch the kids while I run and do stuff. We've had a small crisis yesterday. I had invited another missionary over for lunch and I put something in the oven. We were going to a souvenir shop so I asked Jon to check on the meal. Unfortunately, he understood that he should turn the oven off. So he did after an hour and a half (the meal needed to cook three hours!). Needless to say, we went to plan B (ham and cheese sandwiches). Thankfully missionaries are flexible, right? :-) I guess we have to work on our communication skills :-). It's funny today, but I can say I wasn't laughing yesterday.

We went on a walk today to a park and Lucas demonstrated a new skill (I didn't know he could do this. . .). He can do the "monkey bars"--swinging from one bar to the next all the way across! He's pretty strong! He loves having Aunt Heidi here to play with. I'm sure he'll be pestering me to play with him after she leaves :-). Boomer is going to miss her too. She always plays with him and likes to have him around.

Oh, and yesterday we got the boxes of Lucas' school stuff. He's so excited!! Unfortunately, for him, we're not starting school until August (or September).

It's been raining a lot here lately (apparently the worst "winter" in 20 years). Heidi said we could blame her for bringing the bad weather :-). The other day I took Boomer on a walk and I got caught in the downpour. But, the roses are looking nice!
