Today, Lucas and Ellie started a gymnastics class. They were both very excited about it, and kept asking me when we were going to go! I wasn't sure how Ellie would respond to being away from me (usually she's pretty clingy when she's in a new situation), but she really enjoyed herself! It probably helps that she's in a class with Lucas.
Lucas was a total "wild bat," as we say, and was running around, and jumping, and basically almost bouncing off the walls. I was glad there was another little boy there that was behaving the same way, so it wasn't just Lucas :-). It must be a boy thing!
Ellie was a little "giggle box". Everything that they did was just really fun or funny or something. I think her favorite game was pushing the teacher over (yes, it was planned). She sure giggled about that one!
Lucas' favorite activity was swinging on a ring across a space and landing inside a tube on the other side. He's pretty talented at athletic things. I even heard the teacher ask if he was in gymnastics at school :-). Not really, but I guess we did cover some gymnastics in P.E. class last year. Lucas is just really good at all those athletic moves and tumbles.
I also went to the doctor today (finally) because the cold I had while we were in the States has still not gone away. I lost my voice for a whole week and a half and I don't really have it totally back yet now (and it's been 3 weeks). So, I decided that it was about time I went to the doctor. She really was a very nice lady:-)! She gave me a list of like 3 medicines to get (including an inhaler--I've never done one of those). Unfortunately, my credit card wouldn't work when I went to get the medicine (the debit card didn't either). Fortunately, later, the debit card started working, and now I can get the medicine tomorrow. Needless to say, it's been a busy run-around day!
