Boyd Bear Tracks

This blog has been created so you can track us Boyd bears down and peek in at what we're doing. Just don't touch the porridge!

Not really! There's a neat park in a city outside of Bogotá that has a bunch of interesting statues and buildings. They even have a zoo (but we didn't get to see it all -- we ran out of time). It was a fun day and, when it rained, the kids had some fun in a "pool" of balls. They did a couple of rides too, but they couldn't ride too many because then Lucas would get sick. That evening the Carters came back, so we met them at the airport. Avianna (the new baby) is really cute! The kids were all excited and were happy when, a couple days later, they got to get together and play!

Having Jordan with us was fun. Lucas loved having someone to "pester" (other than Eliana) :-)! For the first time (maybe in my life!), I made a weekly meal plan. Why haven't I done this before? It was so easy to just look at what I had planned for the day and get everything ready. Although, some mornings I felt like I never left the kitchen! Jon said we should host people more often. But, by the end of the week he had maybe changed his mind because he started calling it "Eat-a-thon 2006!" What can I say? I guess I haven't gotten him used to eating big meals two times a day :-)!

Yesterday I started work on the schoolroom and now you can at least see some of the floor. If I do a little every day it'll probably be done by September!

Also, today some men came to work on the roof. Maybe, just maybe it will get fixed this time. I don't know if I should trust that it won't drip anymore and put my furniture back or wait until it rains really hard and "proves" itself. I think I'll wait :-). I'm just glad someone is finally working on it!
