Well, even though I'm not going to class it still seems like life suddenly got busier :-). The first day we began "Spanish class" at home (with Mommy as the teacher), Lucas spoke Spanish most of the morning. The second day, he wouldn't speak Spanish at all!! Now he phases in and out, but mostly speaks to me in English. Almost every day when Jon comes home he says, "Mommy, now we can speak in English!"

Ellie is starting to say lots of things, but in English. The cutest Spanish phrase she says is "Que es eso?" (what's that--she also says it in English). She's Little Miss Mommy. She loves to take care of her baby and carry around the "diaper bag." She carries it to the door and says "Bye-bye" or "Chao." When I ask her where she's going she says "church!" She likes to repeat things (especially if they were commands directed at Lucas) like "tum"--come, and "wash han" --wash your hands.

Jon is enjoying his classes, but it seems the teachers are a little tougher (which he really likes!). I found a group of ladies that meets at the park every day. I do know a couple of their names, but I still feel a little uncomfortable because I'm new (they seem to have know each other for quite awhile). It is nice to get out of the house for a little bit and let the kids play with other kids. I really was wondering how I could have Lucas and Eliana play with kids that spoke Spanish. Now, they have that chance! Praise God He provides for all our needs :-)!!

We've started rainy season now which means that at about noon it starts to rain, and then it continues to rain most of the rest of the day. So, if we want to play outside, the morning is the best time (not too good for someone who's not a morning person :-)!). Poor Stockings doesn't get as much outside time anymore either, but he's surviving!

We caught a little lizard (about an inch and a half long with his tail) in the house. No I didn't scream :-)! Lucas saw him first and we put him in a water bottle for a day. The kids really enjoyed looking at him. We let him go in our patio so hopefully he'll eat some mosquitos for us (actually, they haven't been too bad, even though it's rainy season). If we had kept all the animals we've fed or seen we'd definitely have a zoo by now (my dream since I was 6 or maybe 5 :-)).
